Dear Diary:  What My Doctor Never told Me About Dieting

(AuthorHouse 2011) - Health

You don't need to look any further for answers to your weight loss questions.  Learn how I endured the hardest 13 months of my life to lose 50 pounds.

Eight years ago, I had undergone cosmetic surgery – and it worked.  But I never learned how to get and stay healthy the right way.  So, before I knew it, I had ballooned to over 200 pounds. Yet, I did nothing. Then my daughter told me she was getting married next year after graduation from college. Still, I did nothing.  Then my doctor informed me that I was on the cusp of diabetes.  That clinched it.  I had to do something.

IT WAS TIME!

Dear Diary:  What My Doctor Never told Me About Liposuction

(AuthorHouse 2003) - Health

Writing this book about having liposuction surgery has been a very essential part of my recovery. Except for my son, doctor and finally, my Mom, there was no one I had chosen to confide in. I needed to be able to express the fear of having surgery, the nearly unbearable pain as my body healed, and finally the joy of shrinking from a size 22 to 16 in two months.

This book was also written with others in mind. There may be those who have secretly dreamed of undergoing a cosmetic surgery procedure and are afraid, or those who have already had the surgery and have questions or need to share as I have.  I hope my words help someone else who is alone with their thoughts and pain as I’ve been, give them a much needed mental hug, and let them know that someone else had undergone what they are considering or are now enduring. At those times, when I was most vulnerable, I kept telling myself that there would be people reading my words and saying to themselves, "This is normal. Kathyne went through this too, so
I won’t worry."

Am I am glad I did it?

Would I do it again?

My Way to Love

(AuthorHouse 2009) – Poetry

These poems express the myriad of emotions women endure – from not knowing anything about love to being in love, to losing love, and then reinventing oneself to accept love again.

I’m no exception. This is my celebration – love letters – of my love of God, children, life, and friendship.  Join me in sharing the pain of yesterdays and
hopes for tomorrows.

This is My Way To Love.

The Case of the Twelve-Hour Deadline

(AuthorHouse 2008) – Mystery

High school detectives Ranger, Altese, Pug, Tracker and Bernie are ready to start their summer vacation with a nice, quiet fishing trip when a telephone call dramatically changed their plans.  Their mentor was attacked as they listened, and then the line went dead.  Now they have only twelve hours to traverse the world of intrigue, kidnapping, espionage and murder.  Will they find him in time or will this mystery be the end of the only person who has ever believed in them?

WRITER'S DIGEST 16th Annual International Self-Published Book Awards

Commentary from Judge 57:  "Ranger and the Gang:  The Case of the Twelve-Hour Deadline is an enthusiastically written mystery.  The book does a nice job of making the mystery matter to the characters (after all, it is Ranger's dad who disappears).  I also enjoyed the way everyone involved in the mystery had personal histories that intertwined.  This brought nice added tension beyond the mystery itself.  Likewise, I think the novel does a nice job in creating a multi-layered mystery (that is, there's more than just Ralph's disappearance).  As the novel progresses, the mystery becomes complicated in useful ways that add suspense and momentum to the plot."
